Our hunt areas are well known for the trophy heads that they have consistently produced over the years along with the abundant number of elk. With a resident herd of Elk we do not depend on the snowfall or a migration to have good elk to hunt. The elk are there all year round with the main feed ground not far away. Our upper camp is set high up off Wolf Mountain where the deer and elk really do roam. We have more information on our Wyoming Elk Hunting camps.
The Elk population in Western Wyoming is extremely healthy and our hunt area is no exception. With a resident herd the weather is not an issue with our camps. The success rate for our camps over the years is 80% with several trophy mounts taken each year. Send us an inquiry now about Wyoming Elk Hunting.
If you like to archery hunt, our Camps offer some great areas for the season's BIG BULLS. We also schedule combination Archery/Rifle hunts for both Deer and Elk. These are 7 or 10 day hunts, where you begin archery hunting on the last 4 days of the archery season and if unsuccessful then switch to rifle to finish your hunt. These combination hunts are best from the High Camp. For more information, see our Wyoming Elk Hunting Rates

Wyoming Elk Hunting News
Just a quick reminder for you to get your preference points this summer (info. and how to listed below) so getting licenses in 2011 or after is not any problem.
If you have got them great... if not do not wait until the last minute as the Game and Fish have trouble with overload in their system.
We are gearing up for this falls hunting season, riding and clearing trails, scouting (the elk look in great shape this year with the late spring and plenty of grass).
We will be starting to pack in camp this week (takes about 2-3 weeks to completely set up) with the hunt starting shortly there after.
Remember, if you have any questions contacts us (email, phone, mail whatever is easiest)
For 2011 year or later, the next paragraph is very important.
NOTE: Wyoming is a draw state for licenses, but if you buy a point this summer you will draw in 2011.
For hunting 2011 or after, purchase a preference point. You can do that this summer July - Sept. cost is $50 for elk.
You can buy them online at the Wyoming Game and Fish website. You do not need to specify AREA, or TYPE when you buy points. You do that when you apply for license.
With one point you will draw a deer or elk license for the Western part of Wyoming.
Go to the Wyoming Game and Fish site. There will be a line (on the first page of the hunting menu) that says; "Application for license or preference points". Click on that.
It will say "make sure you have your areas and information ready" you do not need that to buy points. When it askes for your sportsmans I.D. # that is your SS #.
Season Dates:
Wyomiing Elk Archery opens Sept. 1 - Sept. 25, with rifle season opening the last part of Sept. and runs through Oct. 31st.
With late season cow tags going through November.
When you get ready to apply if you are hunting with one or more partners make sure you
all put in as a PARTY... that way you will all draw the license. I can explain further if you would like to talk.
Below are the application dates and license information:
The applications for 2011 will be due to the Game and Fish.
Wyoming Elk application period is Jan. 1 - Jan 31. (Apply for a general elk license:) (GEN) in the first boxes. (even though the application period is over there maybe left over tags)
How/Where to apply Wyoming Elk Hunting Tags. You can apply on line at the Wyoming Game and Fish website or print one off and
mail it. If you need we can print them and send to you.
Feel free to call or email us and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
